ServiceLive Lends a Helping Hand

Posted by Paul under Service Providers, ServiceLive News

ServiceLive was given an opportunity to be of service to a family in need. We were contacted by an organization called “Soldier Families in Need” and jumped at the chance to make a positive difference in their lives. The husband and father of the family serve’s and protects our country over seas and is unable to be home. Freedom is most certainly not free. This family is paying for our freedom everyday.

One day the family tractor found its way into the shed, damaging the doors and the frame holding it. Fortunately, ServiceLive has qualified providers to take care of all incidents involving the run away tractor and all other service imaginable.

After performing a search for providers within the coverage area by ratings, I found the right guy. I contacted the family and made arrangements to have the service provider (Victor Ramos) perform a site inspection. The service order was created detailing the site inspection requirements:

  • Enlarge and re-frame door opening
  • Build new doors
  • Paint entire shed

Victor accepted the service order and went to the home at 7:00 pm on a Friday evening, completed the site inspection and uploaded all pertinent information.

The 2nd service order was created detailing the scope of work and the agreed upon requirements based on post inspection.

The service order was posted; Victor accepted the order within ten minutes and completed the project on 9/28/2009. I spoke with the family that same evening. Wow! What a great experience, the family could not have spoken more highly of ServiceLive or Victor.

Gift Wrap Not Required

Posted by George under ServiceLive News

It’s an exciting time for ServiceLive and I wanted to share with the community a recent story of how ServiceLive and a great Service Pro came to my rescue!

The Situation: Service Order Birthday Gift for my Aunt

Dear Provider,

This work order is for my aunt whose Birthday was last week.  I’d like to surprise her and my uncle with the gift of your services to come out for a couple of hours to do a check up on their systems. She has a laptop and my uncle has a PC, all on a wireless network.  I would imagine that they may need typical system maintenance to get their systems running at optimal performance, security assessment, and network health.  I would also like you to spend time with them helping to answer questions they may have.

Upon acceptance of this service order please call her up right away to wish her “Happy Birthday from her nephew George” and provide her the details of her special birthday gift.  My aunt and uncle are two of the biggest fans I have in the world and I can’t think of a better gift.  I moved from Dallas over a year ago and when I moved they lost their local IT support!

Thank you!

George

Providers Service Order Comments:

“I’ve completed this service work written by the Gift Giver.
Both computers are happy now in mind, body, and soul.

They were fragmented and broken, what a terrible mess!
We used software and tools on them, and they’re running much better now I guess.

The customers are delighted and feel more at ease. All their questions were answered overall they’re very pleased.

We killed icons galore and dumped the old trash.
There were broken shortcuts and garbage, deleting is easy for this much cash.

Mr. Homeowner loves Google toolbar with the gadgets and tools, but his PDA is ancient and the new i-Phone is way cool.

We told stories and sang songs. Not really, but I had fun.
I’d be happy to accept another, but for today I am done.”

Customers Comments:

I thought I had received all my birthday presents and I loved everyone. My blouses and Jewelry are beautiful and then I received this incredible gift of having our computers checked by ServiceLive.  WOW what a treat!  I will definitely become a walking advertisement for this service.

Mr. Provider is fantastic and patient and I will not hesitate to recommend this service.

Your Uncle & I are in awe of your thoughtfulness and we feel so fortunate to have a nephew like you.

Love,

Tia

Conclusion:  A Service Professional from ServiceLive is a Great Gift!  Spread the word, the gift of ServiceLive is alive . . .

Sleepless in Chicago

Posted by George under ServiceLive News

Are you ready? The late nights, the long weekends, and the unbelievable devotion from our team has finally paid off! We are excited to announce the unveiling of the new ServiceLive! The ServiceLive marketplace today launches in Beta to all customers in need of any service offerings available in our community! ServiceLive now has a feature-rich interface that will benefit both the buyer and service provider. The most noticeable addition to this release is the distinction between the Simple Buyer and the Professional Buyer accounts. These new features provide robust tools to each buyer type to help them get connected with our community of over 10,000 Service Pros.

Here’s what to expect: We designed the Simple Buyer interface as the easiest method for a homeowner or small business to leverage ServiceLive. The interface is designed to simplify the user experience for scheduling a service order. A buyer will now be able to create a service request by utilizing the statement of work tools and by uploading project photos. In addition, the buyer could select Service Pros based on criteria such as past buyer ratings and languages spoken. Finally, the order could be paid and the buyer could rate the provider all from the comfort of their home or business. The Professional Buyer tool is tailored toward companies that want to leverage our vast selection of Service Pros to grow their business and profits by partnering with our talented service provider community.

Here are some of the benefits that the Professional Buyer tools will provide:

  • The ability to build an on-demand workforce – staff up for big projects or keep your company small until you need to expand.
  • Diversify your service offerings! ServiceLive will have one of the most expansive selections of services.
  • Offer more services through your company by sub-contracting jobs to providers whose skills complement your own.
  • Grow outside your market! Sell products and services in one part of the country to be delivered by providers in another.
  • Meet warranty obligations and provide amazing service to your customers.
  • Keep warranty costs low by hiring world class Service Pros nationwide to make repairs on an as-needed basis.
  • We appreciate your patience along this journey and we encourage your feedback through our Community Forum. Get ready to see some service orders, and pass the word along to your friends and family – ServiceLive is open for business. ServiceLive is the only home service marketplace of its type in the world. This is only the beginning! Thank you George Coll President, ServiceLive Inc.
